At the digitally aired Obie Awards ceremony on July 14, 2020, Page 73 received an Institutional Obie Award! The citation reads:

For their wonderful prescience at identifying important new American voices and for their deep commitment to truly supporting them through their substantial yearly fellowship, writers group, summer residency, roster of readings, and an impressive record of production, the Obie committee has awarded an Obie for Providing Extraordinary Support for Early Career Playwrights to Page 73.

The ceremony aired on YouTube and included the following acceptance speech from Artistic Director Michael Walkup, speaking on behalf of the staff, the Founders Liz Jones and Asher Richelli, the Board of Directors, and the artists of Page 73.

We also recorded an additional thank you video recognizing our community of playwrights, theater makers, past and current staff, Founders, past and current Board, and the vital constituency of audience and donors who share in our success.

For over twenty years Page 73 has devoted itself to supporting and nurturing early-career playwrights toward their NYC Off-Broadway debuts. We are deeply humbled and gratified to be recognized by the Obie committee for this work.
