Announcing our Summer Residency playwrights + TDF video!

Thursday, August 14th, 2014

We’re delighted to announce that Alexander BorinksyDavid Jenkins, and Gabrielle Reisman will join 2014 P73 Playwriting Fellow Clare Barron at our 2014 Summer Residency from August 18-23. Each of these writers was a finalist for the 2014 P73 Playwriting Fellowship, and we’re delighted to have them join us for one of our favorite weeks of the year up on the beautiful Yale University campus!

  • David Jenkins and director Stephen Brackett will be working with actors Dashiell Eaves, Frank Deal, Lee Roy Rogers, and Yale School of Drama student Maura Hooper on David’s play Pinewood (which you may remember from our fall 2013 Interstate 73 reading), a strange comedy about the ghost that remains as a family ages and irrevocably drifts apart;
  • Gabrielle Reisman will develop Storm, Still, a riff on the story of Lear told from the perspective of his three daughters, with director Portia Krieger and actors Celeste Arias, Sarah Nina Hayon, and Kate Benson;
  • Clare Barron will be working on her play You Got Older, which follows a woman as she returns home to help care for her father;
  • Alex Borinsky, will develop his solo play, Baltimore, about his hometown.
